Multi-Org MeetingEvery year, WBFN organizes a multi-organization gathering to which we invite the family associations of other organizations such as the IMF, the IADB, PAHO, and OAS. This gathering is an occasion to share experiences and concerns. We compare notes on possible solutions, and hopefully reach an agreement on a common course to follow and a unified agenda to advocate.
This year, the workshop was held on March 26, 2010 at the World Bank on the topic of "Expatriate Children and the U.S. School Systems" and attended by members of the WBFN, IDBFA and IMFFA. The discussions were again very lively and informative. The topic was vital for most of those attending the workshop. Each of the 22 attendees took an active part in the interesting conversations and discussions around the informative and interestingly varied sections of the presentation by school psychologist Candice Hughes.
