These Lunchtime sessions have been designed to be the bridge between employers and job-seeking spouses. The intention is that spouses will learn about various sectors, organizations and employers in the Metro DC area; and employers will have the opportunity to see what skills and talent spouses have to offer. We kicked off the series with a very informative session by Voice of America on employment opportunities in the areas of TV/ radio broadcasting and translation services. Mr Gary Hasford and Ms Cindy Krasinsky shared information about hiring practices, how to become an independent contractor with VOA, current employment opportunities etc. Ms Cindy reviewed the resumes of participants and was able to give incisive comments about opportunities at VOA. This was followed by another session later in the week with Mr Carlo Ellena on Information Communication Technology. Carlo is an expert with extensive knowledge in E-commerce, E-marketing and telecommunications. He provided information, insights into the Metro DC market and contacts. An ICT job club has been formed as a result of this Lunchtime Link. Registration is required. The ICT Job Club will start with minimum 5 participants, so if this is your sector, register TODAY!
