Finding the right school for your child is like buying him/her a pair of shoes. As you look for suitable shoes, you bear in mind the fact that your child will have to wear them for long periods of time, find them comfortable to walk in, and be able to run in them whenever necessary. Your child’s requirements in terms of shoes and school could be very different from those of another child, even a sibling. We have organized Education Expo 2008 with this in mind, because our aim is to focus on the importance of “Best Fit” education and to provide information that will encourage participants to reflect further on this issue. Thus, we have:
- Invited a wide range of schools to be represented so that you can receive informational materials and talk to the representatives to help you decide whether a particular school is suitable for your child. The Expo includes preschools, independent schools and the School Districts of Montgomery County, Fairfax and Arlington.
- Arranged a discussion on finding the “Best Fit” education for your child. This will be led by Georgia Irvin and Pam Tedeschi of Georgia Irvin & Associates, both of whom come with extensive knowledge and experience of both independent and public schools in the Metro DC area. We look forward to a thought provoking discussion on this subject of finding “Best Fit”.
We look forward to seeing you there.
