Emergency Preparedness TrainingAre you someone who keeps candles and matches at the bottom of a drawer in case you are left without electricity after a violent storm? Of course the likelihood of a power failure is very slim. Still, you feel reassured that you have planned ahead and that you have your candles and matches already there.
But what will you do in case of a major crisis or emergency? an epidemic, a terrorist attack...
As a member of a World Bank Group family, you need to know that the WBG has planned and will activate a range of support systems and services from which you can benefit and which will:
Provide crisis-related information to staff and families;
Account for staff and families; and
Provide a range of emergency support services for those affected by the crisis.
The presentation will be led by Geremie Sawadogo, World Bank emergency preparedness specialist. Last year, Geremie had offered the same training to a group of WBFN members gathered at Bretton Woods and those who attended had found the presentation very helpful.
You will also have the opportunity to share your particular concerns and find out whether the Bank will be able to assist you regarding those concerns.
Your participation is very important. Mark your calendars and make sure to attend!
